CamSKOOL, the proprietary webcam software, was designed and created by Creative Today, LLC. We believe a successful class begins with having the right tools and our vision is to equip every online teacher with the digital assets they need to succeed.

Frustration grew with our founder after months of using various phone apps and other digital tools to engage his students in his online classroom. Therefore, he decided to design and create his own.
The team was assembled and initial coding began. A few months later we had built a functional prototype. By midyear, we updated the prototype and invited a small handful of online teachers to test our prototype. Over 250 people accepted our invitation. The results were very promising.
Designing a new webcam intended for online teachers took months of research, collaboration, and input from multiple online teaching communities. The goal was to create a simple, convenient, and less intimidating tool to navigate during their lessons.

Idris spent the past seven years teaching English as a second language (ESL) in countries like South Korea, Vietnam, and virtually in China. He developed the idea for camSKOOL webcam services in early 2018 while teaching online with VIPKID.
For the next two years, he poured his time and efforts into designing a webcam toolkit intended for the online teaching community. With practically no coding expertise and no technical background, he set out not only to learn new skills but to also find and surround himself with the right people to turn his idea into reality.
His drive, motivation, and passion embody the creative spirit that flows through camSKOOL. His motto is “THOUGHTS BECOME THINGS” and he believes in being creative every day.
